I’m based in Mannheim, half an hour from Heidelberg and right next to the Palatinate wine country. I’ve photographed 250+ weddings over 15 years, and everything between us happens in English: the first email, our call, the day itself, your gallery.
Everybody in this industry writes “authentic” and “unposed.” Very few actually show it.
So here’s what I do instead of claiming it: I publish whole weddings, start to finish — the nervous morning, the hug at the window, the best man wiping sweat off his forehead, the party where nobody thinks about their hair anymore — not a best-of gallery that makes every wedding look the same. A highlight portfolio looks lovely. It just doesn’t tell you what the day was like.
I work with a silent camera system and move through the room quietly. Most of the time it doesn’t look like I’m doing anything at all. That might be the whole trick.
Three things that follow from that:
I don’t have a separate style for weddings abroad. A wedding in Mexico looks different from one in the Palatinate because the place flows into the frame — not because I switch presets.
Home is Mannheim. From here I’m half an hour from Heidelberg, in the Palatinate vineyards, and in the Odenwald hills. Frankfurt is an hour up the road.

Practical bit: travel within 100 km is included. Further afield, or for a multi-day wedding, we sort out travel and accommodation in one short conversation. No hidden line items.

A lot of couples coming from abroad keep it small — a registry office, a handful of people who matter, dinner somewhere good. That works beautifully here, and the Palatinate and Heidelberg are made for it.
Weekday weddings start at €740 — usually the right scale for a day like that. Same approach, same standard, shorter day. Whether it’s ten hours of reportage or three hours at a registry office, I don’t change how I work.
Note on German bureaucracy, honestly: getting legally married in Germany as a foreign national takes paperwork and time. Many couples handle the legal part at home and have a free ceremony here. Your registrar or celebrant is the right person to ask — I’m just the photographer, but I’ve seen most versions of this by now.
You’ll get the exact figures after a short email with your date. There’s no package puzzle to solve and no sales call waiting at the end of it.

Yes — they’re part of every reportage. By the time we get to them I’ve usually been around for hours, you’ve forgotten I’m there, and I need almost nothing from you. 20–30 minutes is plenty. A few notes on light and background — the rest is just the two of you.
I work at 40 °C and in the rain, indoors and out, day and night. It’s about you, not the sun. You’ll get good pictures either way.

Your date is held the moment the contract is signed. No deposit. We’ll agree payment terms in writing.
I try to share something from every wedding on my site or Instagram, and honestly I rarely get around to it. If you’d rather I didn’t, just say so beforehand. Your wedding, your pictures.
